For as long as I can remember, I’ve believed in the quiet power of horses to heal, teach, and transform lives. My own journey with equine-assisted services began over 20 years ago, when I founded a nonprofit equine therapy center dedicated to helping people of all ages and abilities discover trust, confidence, and hope through working with horses.

 

Running that center for two decades taught me so much—not only about horses and people, but about what it truly takes to build a safe, welcoming, and effective program. I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside families in moments of breakthrough, mentoring instructors as they developed their skills, and carefully selecting and training horses who became true partners in healing.

 

Over the years, I’ve also been honored to help launch two other equine therapy facilities, offering guidance and support as they turned their visions into thriving programs. As a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL) through PATH International, I’m committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, ethics, and professional practice in everything I do.
